How To Make Nandroid Backup
There are two popular custom recovery that everyone uses, ClockWorkMod and TWRP recovery. Most of the android users flash either ClockWorkMod or the TWRP recovery. So i will be explaining you how to make nandroid backup for both the recovery.
The initial step to make nandroid backup is to enter the bootloader of your device, usually it is the combination of pressing few buttons. This process is different for every smartphone so i recommend you to search in google for the keys to your device. Once you are in the bootloader, just navigate and select the recovery mode that you have flashed.
Nandroid Backup Using ClockWorMod Recovery
Step 1. After you enter the ClockWorkMod recovery, navigate to backup and restore and select backup. The process of backup should now start.
Step 2. Once its successfully completed the backup process then navigate back by selecting Go Back and select reboot System. This completes your nandroid backup.

Step 1. After you enter the TWRP recovery navigate to backup and choose what you want to backup from the options provided. If you do not want to mess up with the options than leave it default.
Step 2. Proceed further by swiping to right at bottom. The process of backup should now start.
Step 3. Reboot your device and with this the nandroid backup is complete.
If you wish to copy the backup on your computer than connect your device to your computer and open the TWRP folder which is present in your android device. Here a folder named backup will be containing your entire backup, Just copy that folder to your computer and you are done.
Restoring The Nandroid backup
Step 1. Boot into recovery mode and select backup and restore option.
Step 2. Now navigate to restore and select the backup file which you want to restore and proceed further.
Step 3. Reboot your device once the process is complete.
